… was out on track in Valencia, Spain for its first test today:

Isn’t it gorgeous?

Hmm, they opted for the triangular shaped air intake above the driver’s helmet for this new car, previously the MP4-17D was using a round/oval shaped air intake… unless I’m very much mistaken, the MP4-16 was triangular shaped, going back and forth with the intake design? Hmmm… smiley

… and the Reds come marching home home home! smiley

Yeap, Manchester United sees off Liverfool with a 2-1 win at Anfield, Liverpool. Ryan “the Man-of-the-Match” Giggs scored both goals for Man Utd while Harry Kewell scored the consolation goal… it was a boring 1st half, but the 2nd half was packed with action, with a controversial penalty kick claim by the Fools, but I strongly believe that it was no reason for a penalty kick from that incident anyway… and the Fools missed a couple good chances to equalise, or even a winner for the match… oh well, Glory Glory Man United…

And I just stopped watching the Chelsea vs Newcastle United match after Chelsea led 3-0 over a 10-men Magpies by halftime… hehe, guess who was Roman Abramovich’s guest of honour? Bernie Ecclestone, the owner of F1 himself… bet he’s trying to get the Russian “lots-of-money-naire” to invest in his field of sports… tee hee smiley

Glory Glory Man United, and I got my allowance yeah! smiley

Right, first of all, at least know WHAT time is the match (I know of some e-diots who lose matches due to the time they dunno, match already start 1/2 way or finish, only they bet… teehee)… secondly, at least know lar where the hell on earth the players are battling it out… I wanted to tell him that they’re playing in Wembley… LOL…

Third of all, MAKE DAMN SURE YOU KNOW THE BLARDY ASIAN HANDICAP ODDS if you’re gonna bet! Hehe… according to ActiveOdds.com, it’s a level match, no handicap, although if you’re betting on Man Utd, you’ll win less on the payout odds.

Sheesh… this guy really makes me laugh I tell you, taking Man Utd and giving 1 goal, summore hoping to win at 3-1… ROTFLMAO! smiley

Tears can come out and stomach can cramp man from laughing too hard!

*NOTE: This posting is not trying to teach you how to bet on football (whether legally or illegally) and should be treated just as a friendly reminder not to make a f00l out of yourself should you decide to bet on anything.

… while Real Madrid was shooting blanks in the UEFA Champions’ League Mathday 4…

Man United thrashed Glasgow Rangers 3-0 at Old Trafford with Diego Forlan scoring first on the 6th minute, followed by 2 goals by Ruud van Nistelrooy, one in each half of the game. However, Real Madrid were held to a goalless draw at Partizan’s homeground.

In the match-that-I-couldn’t-care-less, Chelsea scored 4 goals against the homeside Lazio… bla bla bla…

Okay, footie aside… was playing pool with CheeV and Sam earlier… had a great time, hustled both of them… teehee smiley
Now that we’re regulars at Club 7, the staff provide us with the Saluc’s Belgian Super Aramith Pro… pool balls - these are the balls used for tournaments like those you see on ESPN… it’s really great… feels much better, shots are more predictable, even it shines and looks better than those el-cheapo pool balls in the club… no more playing with el-cheapo balls for me… smiley

Oh yeah CheeV, it cost around USD 90 for the set of balls smiley

… where Man Utd thrashed Pompey 3-0 at Old Trafford… 3 brilliant goals by the Reds… especially the curling freekick by Christiano Ronaldo and a turning effort by skipper Roy Keane…

Everton 0 - 1 Chelsea
Leeds 1 - 4 ARSEnal
Boro 2 - 0 Wolves
Magpies 1 - 1 Aston Villa
Soton 0 - 2 Man City
Spurs 0 - 1 Bolton

On the F1 front, Team West McLaren Mercedes have just announced that the 2004 racer will be launched and tested next month… November 25th to be exact, at the Valencia circuit… the 2004 car will be called MP4-19, in which was based on the development of the non-raced MP4-18 that was developed for the 2003 season but didn’t made an appearance…

And of late, the rumor surrounding the Woking team is that JV has contacted McLaren for a role in the team… perhaps a testing role? Very much so, since the team already announced that Kimi and DC will be the drivers for next season and with the rumor that Alex Wurz is bound to leave for a drive with Jaguar team… the contact by JV has been confirmed by the people at the Woking team, but there were no formal or serious discussion about it yet…

There you have it, the quick update… smiley
Move along now… smiley

Sports23 Oct 2003 4:50 am

… and Glasgow Rangers lost to Manchester United 0-1 in the UEFA Champions League Group E match, the only goal of the night scored on the 5th minute by ahem… Philip Neville… no comment really…

I don’t quite like him really, especially his role in matches this season, nothing much to show for, except for this match, he was sensational, I must admit, covering all the bases… easily Man-of-the-Match…

Okay, enough praises of him, after all, when the press in UK started labelling him as the England’s Roy Keane after his superb run of games early/mid of last season, he started playing crap after that…

Elsewhere…
Stuttgart 2 - 0 Panathinaikos
Olympique Marseille 2 - 3 FC Porto
Real Madrid 1 - 0 Partizan Belgrade (damn! should’ve bet against Real, odds were 2 1/4 goals to Partizan!)
Chelsea 2 - 1 Lazio (and Lazio was leading the match at half-time… blek!)
Sparta Prague 2 - 1 Besiktas
Ajax 1 - 0 Celta
AC Milan 0 - 1 Club Brugge

Okay gotta sleep now… long day ahead smiley

Sports13 Oct 2003 7:56 pm

Yeah, so he won his sixth title, pretty much thanks to his 8th place and Rubens Barrichello’s win at the Japanese Grand Prix…

Tough luck for Kimi though, as he only managed to come in 2nd… but I’d say praises all over for the young Kimi Raikkonen as he managed to mount a serious fight against Schumi for the title this season… he’s got many more years to come in racing and we shall see him be the new Finnish legend pretty soon! smiley

Hopefully, with a new car for next season, Team McLaren Mercedes will be able to mount a better fight towards both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship!

Now, to some disturbing news about Schumi’s 6th title celebration, as written by PlanetF1.com:

‘Schumi Brothers Trash Hotel Room’

Michael Schumacher, with a little help from his brother, celebrated his record-breaking sixth World Championship by trashing a hotel suite, according to reports from Suzuka.

The Sun reports that the Schumi brothers overturned a fridge, smashed bottles, and while Michael ‘hijacked’ a fork-lift truck, his younger brother decided to repeat every rock star’s favourite trick: throwing a TV through a hotel window.

The newspaper quotes a witness saying, “They looked like they had gone wild. It was like a war zone.

“It started with them throwing drinks and then escalated. Michael, who was smoking a big cigar, handed the TV to Ralf and he threw it out of a window. Michael and Olivier [Panis, who decided to join the Schumi brothers for their unique title celebrations] picked up a couple of tables and lobbed them at the broken window.”

Sure beats all that champagne spraying…

Throwing a TV down the window? Geez, how irresponsible is that… these people besides having their driving license banned (I know Ralf is… or something along that lines, for always speeding), they should be banned from consuming alcohol in hotel rooms and on commercial airliners… hehe…

No more champagne for Schumi brothers and Panis on podium next year! smiley

Sports29 Sep 2003 7:53 pm

It was a great race late last night at 2am… by far the most action-packed race of the year… however, the weather played to the hands of Bridgestone as their wets were definitely better than the Michelin’s, thus allowing Schumi to win the US GP and Kimi Raikkonen came in 2nd…

Montoya is now out of the title chase as he finished lowly 6th after facing all sorts of problems - from fuel nozzle failure to drive-thru penalty and tyre selection…

Oh yeah, Sauber’s Frentzen was 3rd, while Renault’s Trulli was 4th, followed by Heidfeld, Montoya, Fisichella and Justin Wilson…

So now the battle for the championship is only between Kimi Raikkonen and Michael Schumacher… the thing is that Kimi MUST win the Japan GP in Suzuka in 2 weeks time AND Schumi failing to score a point in order to win the championship… as for Schumi, he just need a point…

Arghh! smiley

Sports28 Sep 2003 3:27 am

Hell yeah! Kimi Raikkonen managed to drive a great lap to grab tomorrow’s United States Formula 1 Grand Prix race’s pole position. The other title contenders, Juan Pablo Montoya and Michael Schumacher was 4th and 7th respectively.

It’s gonna be a great race tomorrow! This season’s Drivers Championship battle is gonna be decided in Suzuka in 2 weeks’ time for sure!

Kimi Raikkonen - you ::roxx::

1. Kimi
2. Rubeno
3. Panis
4. Monty
5. Ralf
6. Alonso
7. Schumi
8. DC

Sports14 Sep 2003 9:55 pm

Lack of overtaking moves made this year’s Italian GP at the Monza circuit a boring one. The results as follows:

1. Schumi
2. Monty
3. Rubeno
4. Kimi
5. Gene

And the World Championship standing:
1. Schumi - 82
2. Monty - 79
3. Kimi - 75

Looks like the championship this season will only be decided at the last race in Suzuka, Japan
