Jenson Button of the BAR Team who qualified 3rd on Thursday did not manage to qualify due to his big accident in the morning practice session. If deemed fit by the medical staff tomorrow, he will begin the race from the pits.
It was clear that Michelin’s got the advantage over Bridgestone in this race track as most Bridgestone runners were struggling for front grip and understeer.
Reporting from Monte Carlo (I wish!

The new Sony Ericsson T610… this is what I really want!

arkangel bought his in Penang already at around RM 1,600! OMFG! It’s the successor to T68i with all the existing features PLUS Java, camera, poly ringtones, and a much bigger and brighter screen!
The size and weight is just like a Nokia 8250…. can’t wait to get my hands on one of these…!

Internet Access
by auyongtc
I have just about enough of frustration to start ranting about the sorry state of internet access in my college labs…!
And I always thought that colleges and universities (elsewhere, definitely not most Malaysian colleges/universities) have one of the best internet connection with fibre OC3/12/48 kinda speed… after all, some of the better universities around the world actually housed some file mirrors for linux distros and others…
And what the fuck do I get from Inti’s network? A fucking saturated 2mbps line that’s shared among thousands of computers around the entire campus… nice eh? Especially in the college brochures to lure in new students that boasted internet access for campus and separate links for hostels…
Even the hostels have intermittent internet access only, marred by the speed of access, the frequent (daily basis) downtime and the overzealous web monitoring/filtering software that is deployed for the the hostel network… as though the water supply problem is not enough for the hostel dwellers…
Currently, just trying to get ICQ2Go to work is a mission impossible… then I tried to download Miranda-ICQ, an alternative client to run ICQ, at 400kb the file is taking more than 20mins to download…!!!!!!!!
Oh cmon, even my 28.8kbps dial-up line at home can download much faster than that!! Which comes to my next point… since the house I rent in Nilai is of a new housing area, the area is laid with fibre optic cables and I can’t get Streamyx bcoz of that…. keep trying to bug Terrorkom to change my line to the adjacent copper network (which is like only 50m away) but they never respond to my request seriously… got to know from Suan (Bee San’s twin sis) that Terrorkom is starting to deploy pizza boxes to equip FTTC exchanges with ADSL capabilities….. I just hope that she could really help me speed up the painfully slow process that Terrorkom goes around to deploying anything!
Okay rant’s over… gonna go to class now… haih….

So I’m already 22…
by auyongtc
Yesterday, came home (in Nilai) from class to find a pink letter from Tenaga Nasional… woopsie, forgot to pay the electric bill since was having 2 weeks sem break and then a long weekend last week…
Thought I could pay online via Maybank2U but they required me to pay at their Kedai Tenaga… sigh, quickly scribbled a cheque while preparing to leave for KL…
Took me 3 rounds to find that elusive building within Bandar Baru Nilai, got the bill sorted out and sped to Subang… reached in merely 30 mins but from the Summit highway exit, took another 20 mins stuck in the jam just to reach SS 15, where I had to pickup Matthew from college lab…

Shoemaker on fire!
by auyongtc
How lucky of him, managed to survive the scare of a pitstop fire and yet managed to win the Austrian F1 GP yesterday.
It was a good race despite the anti-climax at the start of the race as the race start was aborted twice due to Da Matta’s Toyota failed the launch control sequence twice!
Monty’s BMW engine blew when he was leading the race, Ferrari had a huge scare with their refuelling rigs, to recall a few incidents…
The fire Schumi encountered during his first pitstop was small, compared to what Jos Verstappen experienced when he was driving for Benetton F1 team in 1994, 9 years ago… see for yourself.. I found this link (should be working):
Benetton F1 on pitstop fire
Okay.. can’t write much already, lecturer just came into the lab and gonna start teaching…
P/S - It’s my birthday tomorrow!
