Well… I’ve got a friend who is recently being harrassed with some prank calls by some malay guy from this number: xxxxxx (number taken off)…

My friend’s really frustrated now and that stupid jerkoff didn’t realise he’s calling from a hp thus his number is displayed… LOL! smiley

Anyway, if any of you knows who that number belongs to - let me know… OR better still, if you are like those who like to get back at prank callers, please by all means harrass that fella at the number above back… especially in the wee hours in the morning…

I’ll start doing so too, right after I call up DiGi to enable Caller ID Restriction (so he won’t see my phone number)… kih kih kih.

Oh yeah, if you had harrassed him, please comment below smiley Thanks for all your help to put an end to this bastard!

Hmm… I’m planning to revive my plans to sit for the CCNA during the 2 months semester break that I’ll be having at the end of October this year.

I actually had plans to sit for it and get it done (and start on CCNP) much earlier - but due to the fact that I came back to studying full-time made it not really feasible to get it done so early (I’ve gotta either recertify or upgrade to a new certification in a year or 3 years).

But now, it seems feasible for me to pick up the books and go thru it again… yeah, I’m planning to get my CCNA done via self-study (I’m a cheapo and it only cost RM 350 to sit for the paper - rather than paying for the course - which IMHO, is quite useless). After all, I’m quite versed with the Cisco IOS having prior experience in configuring and setting up numerous Cisco routers in my field of work in the past and countless hours on the router simulators. I have also with me the Sybex CCNA Study Guide 2nd Edition (640-507 CCNA v2) - that’ll be enough to cover for the syllabus.

But the difference now is that CCNA is now on v3 (640-607) and it’s much tougher and also trickier… so if any of you out there with the experience of passing the CCNA v3… please give me some tips or pointers in the comment box smiley Thanks!

Yeah… today’s been a good day… started by watching midnight show last nite - SWAT - helluva nice movie smiley Not gonna talk much about this - go watch it! smiley

Slept at 5am and then woke up at 8am to drive down to Nilai to get my results and enroll for the new semester. Thankfully I managed to pass all my subjects (2 A, 1 B+, 1 C - for maths) and enrollment was a breeze this time around…

Then came back to KL - slept a bit and then watched Manchester United beat Newcastle 2-1 at St. James’ Park (sorry Aiz.. smiley ) and Kimi Raikkonen is in front of Schumi for tomorrow’s race at the Hungarian GP smiley

The starting grid for tomorrow’s race (unless I’m very much mistaken):
1. Alonso
2. Ralf
3. Webber
4. Montoya
5. Rubeno
6. Trulli
7. Kimi
8. Schumi
9. DC
10. Panis

That’s right! Part of the Telekom Malaysia’s Good 2 Talk campaign, there is this new RM 5 Chit Chat promotion…

It started mid of this month until 30 September 2003. Applicable for all Telekom residential fixed-lines. Promo is valid from 7pm till 7am everyday and whole day for Sunday and for national/STD fixed-line calls only. Calls to mobilephones are not considered.

What it means is like this:
- Suppose you’re in KL and you call to Ipoh. Say the normal tariff will charge you 50 sen per minute (just a demo figure - not sure what’s the real tariff like).

- If you call for 5 mins, you will be billed RM 2.50 (50 sen x 5).

- If you call for 10 mins, you will be billed RM 5.00 (50 sen x 10).

- If you remain on the line after 10 mins, it’s no longer charged (charge will stop at RM 5.00) and you can remain on the line until the end of the promo period for the day (that’s up to 12 hours on weeknights and more than 24 hours on Sunday!)

For more info, you can refer to the Telekom website.

It’s about time Telekom make more offers of such sort… but I really miss that flatrate local call (imagine last time calling Jaring at flatrate of 13 sen per call and only paying Jaring for the 1 sen per minute Internet access!) before the tariff got changed to a time-based billing… smiley

So what you waiting for? Pick up that phone and call some outstation friends and relatives tonight! I know my mom will love this offer… kih kih kih smiley

Damn, I’m so bored at home! And the weather of late isn’t helping either… few days back it rained like there’s no tomorrow and now it’s scorching hot!!!

These kinda weather not condusive for any productivity at all! smiley
So I wandered to the kitchen to see if there’s something to munch when I saw Gigi sitting there waiting for my mom to cook Fried Loh Shee Fun (a type of noodle that sorta resembles a rat’s tail)… you can see her food bowl is there waiting smiley

Woopsie, she just saw me snapping pics of her smiley

Well, I guess she’s just as bored as me… smiley

I’m planning to get some lens filters, especially a UV one to protect the body lens. I understand I’ll need a tube adaptor as my camera doesn’t have any threads to screw on additional lenses.

Furthermore, I’ll be getting (hopefully) a polarizer filter to enhance my phototaking experience. So the following is what I need:

- 45.6mm to 52mm lens tube adaptor
- 52mm UV filter (looking at the one from Hoya)
- 52mm polarizer filter (don’t think I can afford the Hoya one - any recommendation?)

Anyone can suggest where I can find these locally in the Klang Valley? I found an online shop specializing in these lenses @ The Filter Connection that ships internationally. But of coz, it’ll be easier if I can get these stuff locally, so anyone knows? TV Smith?

Hehe! Man Utd thrashed Bolton 4-0 in the season opener! 2 goals from Giggsy and 1 each from Scholesy and Ruud van Nistelrooy summed up the match @ Old Trafford.

Fergie gave both new signings Christiano Ronaldo & Eric Djemba-Djemba a taste of the English Premier League in 2nd second half. My dad and I both held our breath whenever Ronaldo gets the ball coz he’s really got the skill - and the jersey number 7 to match as well…! smiley

Ronaldo, being only 18 years old, played with composure and excellent skills, zigzaging around the left and the right flank like Giggsy and threatened the Bolton defence ever since he came on halfway thru the 2nd half. He was brought down in the penalty box, and was awarded a penalty kick. Alas, Ruud van Nistelrooy kick got saved by the Bolton keeper, Jass-whatchamacallit… that’s his first ever EPL penalty miss (and 2nd in a row, after missing the one during the Community Shield penalty shootout last Sunday).

Nevertheless, it was a great game for Man Utd to step up the challenge to defend the EPL champions title. Arsenal won the match against Everton at Highbury with the scoreline 2-1 where Sol Campbell (he’s in hot soup (pun intended smiley ) now, coupled with the video investigation of his retaliation kick on Djemba-Djemba during the Community Shield match) was sent off! An Everton player was sent off as well in the match (dunno who - sorry ah, didn’t check any site for details).

And newly-promoted Pompey recorded their first ever Premiership match with a win over Aston Villa (2-1).

Supposed to go there tomorrow - but Daphaney just told me earlier that she’ll not be free tomorrow… sigh… now gotta wait till next Tuesday…

It’s blardy raining cats, dogs, cows, chicken out there in the KL city.. went to Cheras to get a small problem in my car fixed and stuck in jam on the way back and drenched myself running out of the car into the house….

Tho a much cooler weather is most welcomed (hehe, wonder how the heatwave in Europe’s doing)… hungry now.. gonna go grab a bite…

My Life Stories11 Aug 2003 4:39 pm

So today I went to shop around the Golden Triangle area without Matthew (that fella last minute cancelled out on me!)…

First, accompanied Bee San for lunch, she was telling me how busy she is nowadays until no time to visit my blog site no more… boo hoo…
And then off to Isetan and bought a prezzie for a Siew Li, her birthday coming up next week (hehe, better not say what I bought, coz she does surf this site!)

Then went to Parkson in Sg Wang to buy that AC adaptor to replace the burnt one for my network switch at home… in Low Yat Plaza, bought 4 DVD movies (Animatrix again, coz my housemate wanted my copy the last time and I sold it to him…, BASIC (no, without the word Instinct, this one is the new movie by John Travolta), How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (chick flick!) and Minority Report (no I don’t quite like Tom Cruise, but the movie’s effects are chun…))

Also bought a new AMD Duron 1.3GHz processor and a 80GB Maxtor HD… the former is to build up that PC I was telling about in earlier post, while the latter is for my hunger of storage! smiley

Okay… thunderstorms coming liao… I’m gonna reformat this PC with the new HD real soon… I think I’ll eat something first…

Just heard my mom scolding my dog, holding the cane summore… apparently of late, my dog’s been always climbing up the sofa cushion to lie about and sleep… my mom hates that… don’t think she’ll ever get to buy a leather sofa set….. kih kih kih smiley

P/S - Was asking around the price for the handfone I really wanna get… the Sony Ericsson T610 (for pics, see my banner logo above! smiley )… cheapest I can find is RM 1,440 for the Volcanic Red one…
