Charlton Athletic 0 - 2 Manchester United
by auyongtc
Ruud van Nistelrooy scored both goals in the 62nd and 81st minute against the 10-men Charlton team. Jason Euell was sent off after 2 bookable offences by Mike Riley, the match’s referee. Besides the goals and incident above, it was a fairly boring match lacking flow of play.
The rest of the results for tonight:
ARSEnal 1 - 1 Pompey
Blackburn 1 - 3 LiverFOOL
Bolton 2 - 0 Boro
Chelski 4 - 2 Tottenham
Everton 2 - 2 Newcastle
Soton 2 - 0 Wolves
So after tonight’s matches, ARSEnal retained the top flight of the EPL table with only 1 point advantage over Manchester United while Chelski is trailing on 3rd with a match in hand. Pompey’s fourth in the league for now, a good start for them in their first season in the EPL.
If Pompey manages to remain consistent and in-form, a place in Europe competition for next season could just come true for them!

by auyongtc
Went to PWTC for KLIMS 2003 again, this time with Cheok Yeen. Since I missed out most of the Chevy shots, decided to take them this time around…
This 2nd part is mostly pix of the girls there since I was done with the car pix the first time around (except for the Chevy’s).

HP Warranty Support - Part Deux
by auyongtc
So over the course of this week, I was in contact with a particular HP On-Site engineer, Patrick… he called me on Monday morning to inform that they would send someone over to my place to diagnose and replace the hard disk. I kindly declined - really don’t like them nosing around my PC for diag purposes and take helluva long time summore…
So he said it’ll be okay for me to go over to their Service Centre in PJ (now combined HP/Compaq Service Centre in Jalan 13/4) and get it replaced on the spot… and I told him I’d drop by today while on the way back to KL for Mooncake Festival from Nilai.
Went into the Service Centre, took a number and was served in a short time (didn’t had time to make me a cup of hot chocolate over at the mini-bar!
) and my faulty IBM 10GB hard disk was replaced by a brand new Maxtor 20GB ATA-133 hard disk! Woohoo! 10GB extra!
I’m so happy that if HP gives me a t-shirt now, I’d wear it for a week straight!
Oh yeah, tomorrow I should be going to the KLIMS 2003 in PWTC again, with Cheok Yeen
Stay tuned for more pix!

Went to the KLIMS 2003 in Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) today with ET, Jasmine and Ehlant after class at 2pm…
Stopped by Low Yat Plaza for sushi lunch prior to heading down to the expo centre… students with an ID can go in for only RM 5! And they don’t check thoroughly, if you got an old one, go dust it off and you’ll probably get thru
Okay… pics will tell you about the event… no need for me to struggle with words here… click the link below to get there:

Need web hosting service?
by auyongtc
In the coming week or 2, I’ll be launching a new promotion for web hosting services. It should be an irresistable offer if you’re looking for a new web host.
Additionally, there is also a similar promotion for reselling web hosting. To start small in this industry (really suitable if you’re a freelance web designer and would like to sell more than just your web design), the reseller package is the best place to begin. All these details soon… stay tuned!
If you’re desperate for a new host, then please e-mail me for details
So there - that’s what I’ve been working on of late, until the posting on this blog has become minimal

HP Warranty Support
by auyongtc
Late last night, while on the phone yakking away with Vicky, I heard continuous cranking sounds coming from my PC. I suspected the original 10GB hard disk that came with the HP Vectra PC is gonna die on me real soon. I had earlier last month bought a 80GB hard disk to replace this old one.
However, I have yet to perform backup of the files left on the old hard disk so I quickly rushed to do it late last night. As it continued to crank after the backup was done, I decided to shut it down for the night (I always leave my PC 24/7 on).
This morning I woke up, turned on the PC and without much surprise, the BIOS could no longer detect the old hard disk. Phew! Luckily I did my backup earlier, or else I’d be sure to be kicking my own ass now…
So I went online and found out HP Support’s toll-free number. Called them up, gave them my PC’s serial number, and found out that my PC is on warranty until Jan 2004. Cool!
A lil background information, this is a Pentium 3 HP Vectra (their business line) PC that I got from a pre-auction sale of Ericsson Malaysia’s factory assets when they were closing down. I managed to get 2 units at RM 500 a piece
Helluva worth it, comes with 15″ monitor, full sets and super clean desktop (no dust/dirt on the case and inside the case as well - coz it’s in a factory/cleanroom environment).
So I bought it cheap at RM 500, and it’s got 3 year next-day on-site warranty… wohoo!
Spoke to the tech (with a strong Indian accent - suspect that the call got routed to the Support Centre in India - wonderful world of outsourcing!) that suggested a tech to come over my office to look it up the next day and do a replacement. I told him my situation (having bought the PC over from the original owner, Ericsson) and it will just suffice for me to send the faulty hard disk to the HP Service Centre in Petaling Jaya. After all, didn’t want the tech to travel all the way from KL to Nilai just to change a hard disk.
But he suggested that they could courier me a replacement hard disk and all I need to do is return with the delivery guy the faulty hard disk and install it myself… No problem…better still!
Gave my details and he gave me a case number for the support call.
The new hard disk is gonna be shipped out on Monday and probably reach me on Tuesday or Wednesday… cool!
Stay tuned

Another reason NOT to use free webmail service
by auyongtc
I received 6 e-mail messages a couple of days ago from a friend that I haven’t spoke to for a long time. At first I thought it was some forwarded junks, since it all began in the subject with the 3 magical letters and a colon (Fwd: ). Giving her some benefit of doubt, I decided to open up one of them and check out the mail’s content.

The Saints 1 - 0 Red Devils
by auyongtc
Finally, after so many unbeaten run in the Premiership, Man United fell to Southampton at St. Mary’s after what seems to be a goalless draw.
On the 88th minute, James Beattie headed home the corner to break the deadlock between the 2 sides. Having pressured Man United throughout the match paid off for Gordon Strachan’s side as they didn’t let Man United settle down to a preferred pace in the game.
And at the meantime it’s halftime at the brand new City of Manchester Stadium where Manchester City is leading Arsenal by 1 goal, courtesy of an own goal by Lauren… really funny how he was pressured to commit that own goal…
Anyway, will report more soon as I resumed sticking my eyeballs at the idiot box. If Man City pressures Arsenal like what they did in the 1st half, they should well win this encounter with the Gunners… stay tuned!
Update 1:
Sheesh, spoke too soon, just barely few minutes from the start of the 2nd half, Wiltord equalised for the Gunners! 1-1 now…
Update 2:
Final score Man City 1-2 Arsenal…. Fredrick Ljungberg scored the winning goal after a misunderstanding between the Chinese fullback, Sun and the former Gunners No. 1, David Seaman…
So ARSEnal remained at the top of the Premiership table…
