Gilmore Girls season 4 finale…
by auyongtc
… ended kinda sad… *spoiler alert! Do not read unless you are not concerned about catching the episodes till the end… consider yourself warned
*
Anyway, yeap, I’ve the entire season 4 of Gilmore Girls in HDTV (high definition TV) format downloaded from eMule
And I’ve just finished the last episode just now… with dinner accompanying me…. ahhh… tv (well, not quite, I watch it on my PC, but 17″ LCD is good enough
) and dinner is always a good combination…
Well, in the season finale, the Dragonfly Inn finally opened (well not quite, it was a test run night with residents of Stars Hollow played guests for the test run of the inn)… collectively it is owned by Lorelai, Sookie, Michel and Luke. And Emily and Richard are separated due to some arguments over his business venture with Jason… the business venture ended bitterly with Jason insisting of suing Richard, which brought his 5 months relationship with Lorelai to an end as she couldn’t take it that her boyfriend is suing her dad…
Finally…. Luke made a move on Lorelai… boy oh boy, the sexual tension between the two must’ve risen way above Mount Everest (or K2, whichever the higher at the time of press) since the first season… and now, Luke managed to gather his courage (it’s tough, especially after a quick marriage-then-divorce situation with Nicole) to date her… and he got really pissed when Jason told him that they’re still dating… oh… you really gotta watch the way Luke and Lorelai kiss… really funny I tell ya…
And the biggest surprise… at the end of 4 seasons, Rory’s no longer a virgin!
She finally gave in (at the age of 19, not too bad, considering her mom, Lorelai got pregnant at the age of 16) to Dean when he professes his love to her once again… gosh, Lorelai came home and found out… all hell broke loose of course… as Dean is still married to Lindsey, although he claims that his marriage is wrecked… isn’t it a common line by married men when they start cheating outside? Geez…
Can’t wait till the season 5 starts…. will be interesting to see how the relationship between Lorelai and Luke progress and what will happen to Rory and Dean… *I bet he still cant’ stop smirking all the way back to his home to his wife… *
Interesting to see how the plot unfold, especially how Rory ended up doing it the first time with a married man (well, it was her first love, but he’s a married man now)… maybe one day I’ll blog about my first time… lol
Okay… GG season 4 is out, what else should I watch next?

What to do when you’re bored in a Java lab session…

… well, I ended up reading Jez’s the wanton diaries blog site after much recommendation from PPS bloggers, especially when Aiz did a post recommending it
It’s a good read, the kinda honest words you rarely get from women *well, besides the honest ranting I guess… ~run to evade flame!*
Her site’s here: http://wantonjez.blogspot.com/
It’s been raining here and I’m too lazy to finish up my essay assignment that’s due tomorrow. And tonight I’m having dinner with michaelooi and paultan and that means I won’t get to do it until late late at night…

Yet another sports weekend…
by auyongtc
… with Manchester United finally winning a silverware in the English FA Cup Final to lift the spirit at the end of a dissapointing season. Man Utd beat Millwall 3-0 at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium in Wales with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring with a header and Ruud van Nistelrooy scoring one each from the penalty spot and from free play.
And in Monaco, the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monte Carlo just concluded with Jarno Trulli of the Renault F1 team clinching his maiden victory from his maiden pole position… great effort I tell you!
Although McLaren showed some glimpse of improvement, however, it all ended in dismal performance on race day again with DC getting caught in the accident that sent Fisichella’s car flying and ended up turtle while Kimi Raikonnen retired to the pit garage after the team found out that there were some serious problems with the car via the telemetry.
Quite a spectacular race I tell you, with numerous incidents that required the Safety Car to be deployed to ensure safety of the track before race could resume in full pace. It all started even before the race when Panis couldn’t align his car to his grid position at the end of the formation lap due to a stalled engine and resulted to an aborted start. After that, Takuma Sato’s engine blew up big time in smoke that blinded Fisichella that caused him to bump up DC’s rear wing and sent himself flying.
More wacky incidents followed, with Fernando Alonso tried to outsmart Ralf Schumacher by overtaking him on the outside of the tunnel road that lacked grip… way too smart I tell you, crashing into the wall and while his car was spinning to a stop, he managed to show his middle finger towards Ralf Schumacher… And BEST OF ALL Schumi finally cracked when he locked up the left front wheel in the tunnel road and end up colliding into the wall trying to avoid Montoya who was beside him. Lost his front wing and his left front wheel… that spelt retirement for his race today…
So the lack of McLaren pace is compensated this weekend with the amount of incidents in an otherwise almost-not-overtake-able race track, especially with Schumi’s DNF
Also, Renault F1’s site at www.renaultf1.com offered live telemetry of both their race cars on their website… a cool feature indeed… here’s a screen capture in case you missed it:

Photocopying & Ramly burger…
by auyongtc
… yeah yeah, I know it’s a weird combination… well, I just got back to my room from photocopying some documents I need to claim my college fees off my EPF Account 2…
Walked towards the regular photo processing-cum-photocopying shop just to find out that they closed way before 10pm… so I wandered to the neighbourhood 7 Eleven convenient store and get my photocopying done there instead…
In 7 Eleven, it costs 20 sen to photocopy 1 A4-sized document. I know, it’s double the usual price (and more than double if you’re getting a 3 sen per page high-volume photocopying service) but heck, it’s a 24-hour convenient store, I guess it’s not too big a deal… the malay girl manning the photocopy machine wasn’t exactly sure on how to photocopy NRIC (our national identity card) so I ended up teaching her instead… did a test-run and wasted 1 page because of that (it wasn’t charged to me, tee hee
)… then paper got jammed, and I gotta teach her how to remove the jammed paper and reset the machine… I should really get free photocopying service for my effort… but nevermind, they didn’t charge double for NRIC copying as it’s 2-sided
Walked out of the store, and saw a Ramly burger stall, doing quite good business… was tempted to go order one myself… especially after the massive Ramly burger craving since 2 weeks back… but I held myself back… dunno why… Just walked home right after passing the stall…
Now I feel hungry… I think in 15 mins, I’m gonna be kicking myself in the ass for not buying a burger just now…

Boredom, boredom, boredom…
by auyongtc
…one each about my classes, the current F1 season, and how I’m feeling now (well, not quite now by the time this post get blogged, as I’m writing this entry on my iPAQ PDA while waiting for the time to pass till 5.30pm’s shuttle bus from the Timbuktu Nilai campus back to civilization).
Well, 3 weeks into the new semester, and I’m starting to get used to the trouble of travelling by bus to class on a daily basis. One pleasant surprise about the courses I’m taking this semester is that it is entirely 100% coursework based… That means no final examination to sit for… Helluva relieve, I tell you!
Another thing is that I have a 4-day study week with no classes on Fridays!
That’ll help a lot in coping with the stress of 2 hours bus ride on a daily basis and in catching back on sleeping. Everything else in college is boring, 4 semesters here is starting to be really boring and feels like mundane routines.
Spent most of the weekend watching 9-ball pool and Formula 1 Grand Prix racing. Star Sports showed the live telecast of the San Miguel Asian 9-Ball Tour Taipei leg. In the final, Efren Reyes defeated the Korean Jaeng 12-10 in a close battle that almost resulted to an upset victory by the Korean when Efren was trailing him in the scoresheet. Much to the fans’ relieve, Efren managed to pip the Korean to the title, his third in the Tour this year.
As for Formula 1, the Spanish GP was really boring. Not much action (come to think of it, didn’t remember that there were any major overtaking moves in that race) but Renault started to improve again, despite their lack of testing of the new front wings developed by last week as it rained massively during their testing time in Silverstone. Heard that they reverted back to last year’s front wings and it did help secure the 3rd and 4th placing in last night’s race.
If you didn’t know it by now, the race last night was a Ferrari 1-2 finish with Schumi clinching the 5 consecutive victory this season (that’s 5 out of 5) while nursing his car that had a cracked exhaust. BAR wasn’t that lucky, despite having the pace to challenge Ferrari, as Button was stuck in traffic due to bad qualifying effort while Sato were, well, just being himself I guess (haven’t seen much from him except the blistering practice times this weekend).
So, it was a boring race, with overtaking only happening during the pitstop sessions. Honestly, if Bernie wants to axe more European races to allow for races in other countries (that allows tobacco advertising), this should be top of the list (as compared to Silverstone). I think Monte Carlo have better overtaking chances than the Circuit de Catalunya!
Darn, it’s not even 5pm yet… I think I’ll bore myself silly until 5.30pm comes…
And I really hope that the boys at the McLaren team can pull their acts together and push MP4-19B spec out as soon as possible. They’re really lacking pace and reliability! BTW, any form of negative comments about McLaren’s performance this season (or any positive comments about Ferrari) is NOT welcomed. This is a sensitive matter and don’t come flaming me here in this post. Consider yourself warned! *grin*
